Abstract

328,398. Boecler, A. March 20, 1929. Workshops, arrangement of.-In apparatus for coating an endless band of fabric or metal with. indiarubber, celluloid, &c., held in solution in a solvent and recovering the solvent, comprising a closed container 1 provided with unsymmetrically distributed cooling surfaces 2, 3 and a heating table 5 over which the endless band 4 passes on rollers 8, the tubular heating members are extended to one side until they approach the wall of the casing so as to obtain an improved circulation of the vapourized solvent. The circulation is also improved by placing an insulated surface 10 obliquely between an auxiliary cooling surface 9 and the heating table. In the modification shown in Fig. 4, the heating table comprises two hollow plates 14 the heating area being extended to one side by a loop of tubing 15.
