Abstract

A dyeing apparatus comprises a triangulated arrangement of squeezing rollers through which the fabric passes twice, and a heated dyebath provided with rollers 2 and 10 so that the fabric passes through the dyebath twice, the two directional movement of the fabric through the bath producing eddy currents in the dye. A dye liquid sump 7 between the rollers 5, 6 is supplied with liquid from each end, and an overflow pipe 9 is provided so that the excess dye may be directed back into the dyebath or out of circulation as desired.
