Abstract

The pump supplies a central heating system with liquid butane from an external tank. A reciprocating pumping set is actuated by release of gaseous propane. The tank is connected to a diaphragm-type suction-and-force pump, actuated by the released propane gas from an auxiliary propane bottle. The diaphragm divides the pump chamber into two one being connected to the butane pipe by means of two non-return ball valves. The other is permanently connected via a calibrated orifice to an adjustable propane release unit, and also, via an escape valve controlled by the diaphragm, to the butane tank.
