Abstract

Appts. for sterilising soil has a tractor which does not contaminate and compress the soil by its wheels. The appts. is set to work on soil alongside a path on which travels a boiler producing the steam for the sterilisation. The steam is supplied through a pipe by means of a connection to pipes connected to a manifold which supplies the three hoods with steam. The hoods are carried by a tractor of which the four wheels are provided with a metal frame, which is fitted around the tyres, consisting of a metal part integral with a ring which has reinforcing ribs. Ring is in two parts held together by bolts joining the clamps.
