Abstract

The wheels or tracks have a metal load-bearing surface whose dimensions are such that this surface penetrates through the superficial layer of the ground and bears entirely on the underlying layer. Thus, only narrow strips of ground are rutted whereas the tyres of an ordinary tractor compact the ground over a large width. This vehicle is produced by fitting the tyres of an ordinary tractor with a metal ring (18) having projections (13). This vehicle is used particularly as a vehicle carrying a bell-type device for disinfecting the ground using steam. <IMAGE>
