Abstract

The fan (2) is of the centrifugal type, causing air to flow between the sections (R) of the radiator, being particularly for use with a central heating radiator. It is driven by an electric motor and accommodated in a housing (7) mounted on the radiator. A volute passage is formed in the housing, having an outlet discharging the air in the desired direction. The fan rotor can be oblong in shape, to suit the length of the radiator to which it is fitted. The housing can have a baseplate, on which fan and motor are mounted, this baseplate being in turn mounted in a cowl fitting over the radiator.
