Abstract

1478879 Centrifugal blowers SINGER CO 23 Sept 1974 [24 Oct 1973] 41275/74 Heading F1C A centrifugal blower unit comprises a fan wheel 14, Fig. 1, surrounded by a housing having a spiral peripheral wall 38 and inclined end-walls 40, 42 which diverge towards the outlet 20 to increase the flow cross-section. Each end-wall is provided with a respective inlet 16, 18. Two such blower units may be arranged in end-to-end coaxial relationship with their outlets lying in a common plane and provided with a single driving motor (52), Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), located between the units and cooled by the ingoing air-flow.
