Abstract

A vessel (40) with a housing (42) forms an enclosure (50) for the fuel and has an outlet opening (24) at its bottom end. In the top end of the housing (42) opposite the outlet (24) is a bellows chamber (56) connected with the fuel enclosure (50). The bellows when axially expanded in a tubular shape can be compressed so that its length is considerably shorter than in the expanded position, the folds (76) of the bellows being brought in contact with the bellows holder (64). The compressed bellows is in the chamber (56) and the housing (40) has an inlet opening (38) for admitting pressurized gas into the bellows. The bellows is expanded by the gas under a pressure higher than that of the fuel in the fuel enclosure (50) and during the expansion the bellows holder (64) releases individual folds from the bellows chamber (56).
