Abstract
The device is used to obtain pressures lower than atmospheric pressure suitable for pneumatic, fluidic etc. circuits. It consists of a primary circuit to which is connected a secondary circuit, and uses the Bernovilli principle. The primary circuit has a feed tube (1) with a convergent port (4) discharging into an annular chamber (7). A secondary circuit has a small diameter tube (2) also discharging into the chamber. The outlet from the chamber is a divergent end (5) of a discharge tube. In an alternative design, the secondary tube is coaxial with the primary tube. Several units may be used in series to approach absolute vacuum.
