Abstract

The housing unit has a floor with a layer of coating material on top and walls fixed to the floor. The top layer of coating material (4) has edges (10) which are raised and fastened to the vertical walls (3), the base of the vertical wall (3) being inserted into a groove in the floor. The floor itself is a sandwich-type panel, consisting of a top layer (4) which should preferably be a plastic material such as PVC; the core (5) which is a panel of woodchip or other compressed fibres; an undercovering (6) of reinforced bitument; a bottom layer (7) of a plastic material such as polyethylene. The unit is erected by fixing the vertical walls (3) onto the floor and the putting in place the top layer of coating material, welding or gluing the edges of the layer to the walls.
