Abstract
1298104 Laminated wall covering J B SCHAEFER GmbH 20 March 1970 [28 March 1969] 13518/70 Heading B5N A wall covering for the compensation of irregularities in an unplastered or roughly plastered wall, comprises a web of material made up of two layers the first of which 3 is formed with dimples 4 separated from one another and filled with a flexible foam material and the second of which 7 is bonded to the first layer in dimpleclosing relationship whereby the web has at one surface thereof numerous, discrete, closed elastic cells 2. The first layer is preferably of elastically deformable material, e.g. polyethylene and the second of a stiff but rollable material, e.g. hardened polystyrene or hardened polyvinyl chloride. The second layer which may be cemented or heat-sealed to the first layer may have a decorative surface or have a decorative surface material, e.g. a printed web of paper, a fabric or a foil applied thereto.
