Abstract

The monolithic door consists of a flat support foil (1), made of plastic and bonded locally by a layer (2) of elastic adhesive to a corrugated plastic foil (3), so the door can easily be bent in the longitudinal direction of the strip but has high stiffness in the transverse direction. Foil (1) pref. has longitudinal edge zones free from materials (2,3), the edge zones fitting into stationary guides. Foil (1) is pref. made of plastic reinforced with glass fibres, and is esp. a glass fabric with an epoxy resin binder; whereas layer (2) is pref. polyurethane foam; and layer (3) is a thermoplastic foil which can be deep drawn. The door can be bent in the longitudinal direction without jamming in the guides.
