Abstract
An evaporator slab, partic. a roll welded evaporator slab with an interconnected coolant channel system at the end of which is a suction tube and at the beginning of which is a capillary tube connected to the suction tube to act as a control valve. The end section of the capillary is compression bonded to the evaporator slab and sealed from the coolant channel which joins the suction tube, such that the channel (11) in the region of the opening of the capillary tube (15) connection has a reduced cross section (16) which is only put larger in diameter than the diameter of the capillary tube (15) which passes down into it.
