Abstract

The rotor (1) and rotor shaft bearings (4) are supported in the casing (3) which is an inner cylindrical member. This casing is supplied with a number of fins (5) which are fixed at their outer ends to a belt (6) made from laminated material and having good elasticity. The outer casing (2) which contains the exhaust gases from the turbine rotor is fitted with at least three pads (7) around its periphery. These pads are also fixed onto the outside belt (6). By joining both casings to the same member the concentricity of the two casings is maintained.
