Abstract

The umbrella type steel frame is for the support of non load bearing roof and wall panels of a bi-pitched roof prefabricated dwelling house. It has twin frames, on central columns, located parallel to one another in each gable end, the two frames being tied by eaves and ridge beams and embodying vertical ground anchored ties at each corner. Each frame is cruciform with the post cantilevering from a foundation block, the two lateral arms being pin connected to the post, and diagonal ties from the top of the post to the outer extremity of each arm completing the assembly.
