Abstract

A cement mixing plant for fine cement, in which the three ingredients, sand cement and water are mixed together in carefully controlled amounts, has a cement silo and a sand silo the first having a discharge screw and the second having a discharge belt (21) which deposit material onto respective intermediate belt conveyors feeding a common conveyor belt which discharges into a mixer which also receives water fed by a volumetric pump fed by a variable speed motor. The drive motor for the mixer is connected by a control circuit including a shunt, amplifier and regulator to the water pump motor, then by a counter to a charge regulator for the sand silo drive and another regulator for the cement silo drive so that the proportions of the ingredients are correctly controlled to suit the speed of the mixer.
