Abstract

Prefabricated panels for the construction of silos, cheap to manufacture and to make the erection of the silo quick and simple, are reinforced and made of any kind of expanded material. Each panel comprises two concentric cylindrical segments (1, 2) and has in each of its lateral radial walls a groove delimited by surfaces parallel to the axis of the silo. One of its lower faces has a tenon and the opposite face a matching mortice. The panel is reinforced by means of two layers of reinforcement bars, the first ones being parallel to the axis and the second ones forming circular arches centred on this axis. The panels are assembled in horizontal rings one on top of the other so that the cavities formed in each ring by the end grooves are aligned vertically. These cavities form vertical shutters into which protrude the circular arched reinforcement bars.
