Abstract

The stopper consists of a pouring neck (1, 2) which is to be inserted into the top of the container and a top cover (5) attached to the pouring neck by a plastic strip (4). The cover has an inner lip which fits inside the neck to improve the sealing. A tear-off strip (10, 11), removed on first opening, is attached to the lower outer edge of the cover. When the strip is removed, a part of it is left in the region of the connecting strip attachment, reinforcing and stiffening the connection.
