Abstract
The engine operates on the two stroke cycle. The water vapour produced by the combustion of hydrogen is condensed in the cylinder to reduce the pressure. The engine has the same components as a standard engine namely cylinder, piston, crank, ignition coil and cooling system. Additionally the engine has a distributor ring rotating at ending speed; slide valves operated by an electromagnet and an ignition control mechanism. As the piston moves from top dead centre the charge is aspired and ignited. The piston is forced downwards and water vapour produced. The vapour is cooled by expansion and condenses, producing a reduced pressure in the cylinder to return the piston from bottom dead centre to top dead centre.
