Abstract

The spacer bar for adjustable load carrying hooks comprises one or more girder sections joined together to form protruding arms, along which self locking hook supporting slides are adjustable. Each slide comprises two plates (9) on opposite sides of the girder (2), and joined together by a component (10) bearing on the girder top flange, and round which the slide can pivot. Each plate carries on the one hand a hook supporting pin (13) above the girder, and a locking finger (11) engaging under the top flange. The finger is locked against this flange when the slide pivots under the effect of the load on the hook. The connecting component can be in the form of a bar between the two plates.
