Abstract

A T-joint design to permit improved drainage of a secondary drain into a main drain has a circular baffle plate covering pref. 2/3 - 5/6 of the diameter of the inflow and outflow pipes. The baffle plate is angled at up to 70 deg. to the mixing chamber wall. Water entering the mixing chamber from the input pipe impinges on the baffle plate and is deflected onto the angled wall of the chamber thus leaving a clear water-free space for the secondary drain to empty into the main drain system. Input and output pipes are fixed eccentrically to the mixing chamber as the secondary drain input.
