Abstract

Water box for heat exchangers has connections esp. for plastics, with a self-supporting hose connection which can latch elastically in an opening on the box. Preferably the connection has an annular groove in which an inner edge part of the box opening is latched, with a sealing ring between the connection and the box, as a radial sealing ring, laid in an annular groove of the connection. The depth of the first groove and the inner dia. of the edge part and/or of the annular flange are such that radial and/or axial compressive forces arise on the lines. Curved pipe connections can be used with the plastics water box.
