Abstract

1,192,650. Inspection chambers. PLASTIDRAIN Ltd. 18 Oct., 1968 [6 Nov., 1967], No. 50357/67. Heading E1C. A pre-fabricated inspection chamber for a sewerage or drainage system has an upwardlyopen channel formed in the base and communicating with shout lengths of pipe 16 and 17, integral with the cylindrical wall of the chamber, and forming an inlet and an outlet. One or more branch channels may also be formed in the base, communicating with additional short lengths of pipe, and the base is raised around the channels to assist run-off thereinto. The inlet and outlet pipes may be shaped to fonm the spigots or sockets of spigoted connections. The chamber is preferably made of a reinforced plastics material. A cover 21 sits on a cast iron frame 22 on the top of the chamber wall.
