Abstract
1,247,536. Drain inlet; gully grating. JOSAM MFG. CO. 11 Dec., 1968, No. 58815/ 68. Headings E1C and EIG. A drainage assembly e.g. in a concrete floor C comprises a bowl 10, which has a flange 11 bearing on its upper face a groove 12 and which connects with the drain pipe D, and a clamping plate 14 with ribs 17a and b either of which seat in groove 12 and a threaded collar 16 offset from the plane of the plate and adapted to receive the threaded neck 20 of a drain inlet S so that by reversing the attitude of the plate the level of the inlet may be adjusted within, the range indicated by the levels L, L', the plate when bolted on to the bowl clamping flashing F against the bowl. Seepage drain holes 19 are provided in the plate, which is also provided with key hole slots allowing it to be dropped over the head of bolts 15 secured to the bowl flange and providing additional seepage drainage when the plate is clamped to the bowl.
