Abstract

Foot or hand washing appliance for use by the aged, the infirm or the handicapped, has a housing with compartments holding motors, gearing and rotating brushes and has a liquid supply and drainage to the brush compartment, and also preferably an aperture to this compartment where e.g. a foot may be inserted. A rotating pumice stone actuated by a subsidiary clutch is also incorporated. Liquid can be fed to brushes via hollow axle shafts with apertures in the bristle roots. For hand washing two brushes in separate compartments can be used, one for washing and one for rinsing.
