Abstract

This resetting mechanism is mounted on front of a circuit-breaker (D). It is so positioned that when the operate-button of the breaker springs out after circuit rupture, it operates two contacts (13, 14) on the end of an inline pair of push-rods that are interconnected by a spring (7) and mounted in a tube. This causes a battery driven motor to rotate a snail-cam. This is mounted at the end of the tube and its snail profile pushes the rod forwards and depresses the operate-button of the circuit-breaker. The snail profile also allows the push-rods to snap back after the brakes is reset and an auxiliary contact (15) resets the cam to the standby condition.
