Abstract

Pneumatic lifting and conveying device raises objects by vacuum applied by an air pump. Several devices are connected to a common pump. The device comprises a casing (4, 5) with an air passage (8) and a lower opening (7) blocked by a ball (6). When the device is placed on top of an object to be lifted (9) and a vacuum applied via the air conduit (8), the pressure difference between the top and bottom of the ball cause it to lift and there is a momentary balancing air flow. If there is no object beneath the device when the vacuum is applied, the pressure difference and resulting airflow lift the ball and press it against the seating, closing the airway. The ball and at least part of the casing are of elastic material.
