Abstract

Inside the valve body (2) is a right angled arm (6) connecting two pipelines together. It is rotated by a shaft (7) in a bush (8) fitted in the cover (9) of the valve. A lever (10) clamps on the shaft and is operated by a fork (12) fitted on the shaft of a reduction motor unit (3) mounted above the valve on a frame (4). As the lever rotates into its new position, the motor is stopped by one of two limit switches (16) adjustable on respective mountings (24, 25, 26). Rubber blocks absorb momentum and final precise positioning is by a spring-loaded pin (18) engaging a blind hole in the cover (20).
