Abstract

The keyboard type tumbler electric switch, has a case (11B), a cover (12), two sets of contacts (40, 40'), a keyboard tumbler (28) with three positions, and a latching device at the two tumbled positions of the tumbler. Each set of contacts (40) is basically a microswitch and consists of a contact strip (42) which can pivot on an internal extension of a connecting pin (44). A rocking strip (59) can be actuated by the tumbler (28) so as to stretch a spring and swing the contact strip (42) to give the switching action. The latching device consists of an elastic strip (24B) in the side of the case, the strip has a head (25B) which in conjunction with a hole (35B) in the tumbler (28) latches the tumbler in one position.
