Abstract

Burner air supply regulator for a gas-tight heating boiler with forced draught consists of a suction fan in a discharge duct for the flue gases and a pressure-tight housing which surrounds the chamber and is connected to the exterior by a fresh air inlet duct. A chamber of the housing is connected with a diaphragm directly via a duct to the gas inlet of the burner's nozzles. The diaphragm responds to pressure changes of the gas fed to the nozzle and acts on a valve which alters the amount of air for combustion. The amount of air is altered without changing the rotary speed of the fan impeller, and the air feed is proportional to the power supplied. The gas pressure to the burner, proportional to the power, is therefore the quantity that is used, to control the air supply.
