Abstract
The design can be used in drive motors such as internal combustion engines with otto or diesel cycle, also external combustion (hot gas engine), pumps and machinery; gear trains particularly transmission with variable transmission ratio. The gear profile curve is given by a formula. Two rollers are connected to the gear wheels and enclosed in a common cylinder. Changes of angular position alter the volume of the cylinder. This can be used to change the ignition or fuel injection setting of the motor.
