Abstract

An immersion heater for liquid baths, esp. for use with corrosive liquids, is fitted with a tube of appropriate material projecting into the bath into which a close fitting readily interchangeable heating element can be inserted from the outside of the bath. The tube has a flange on the end abutting the side of the tank, and is sealed by a deformable O-ring between the flange and the wall of the tank. There is a reinforcing ring on the outside of the tank and the tube is held in place by bolts screwing into female threads in the flange.
