Abstract

Filter has a head with a central hollow pin, a hollow container with a flanged open end and a threaded retaining ring engaging a counter thread on the head, the retaining ring having a flange which engages the container flange and holds the container on the head. The head carries an annular projection on its outer periphery while an annular recess is provided between the projection and the hollow pin. The head has tubular connections leading to the recess and the hollow pin respectively for the feed and discharge of the liquid passing through the annular filter element which is sealed against the container wall and against the outer periphery of a tube depending from the hollow pin.
