Abstract

1277203 Valves D SCHAVERIEN 30 May 1969 [28 June 1968 3 Sept 1968] 43805/71 and 43806/71 Divided out of 1277202 Heading F2V A tap comprises a main chamber and side spout 51 moulded from plastics together with an attached outlet nozzle 53, 55 also moulded from plastics, an outer layer 56 of plastics being moulded around the whole unit. As shown, the side spout 51 has a reduced end portion 52 which accepts the stepped end 54 of the outlet nozzle: the joint is secured by adhesive or heat welding. The main chamber may be moulded on to a pipe 1, and the whole externally coated with metal. The parts 51, 53, and 55 are of a material which resists hydrolysis e.g. glass filled nylon.
