Abstract

The strip with its pull ring at one end, is in an area limited by a boundary zone capable of being easily torn. The other end of the strip has a shaped point which pierces the top when ring is pulled up. A secondary zone of tearing is introduced near to the point, together with a thinning of the metal thickness. This acts as a pivot when pulling the ring.
