Abstract

The inflatable hull is a horse shoe shaped tube forming a bow. The sides of the boat are joined by a double membrane which forms the bottom of the boat. The keel is a discrete component which can be inflated separately and runs the length of the boat inbetween the membranes. The remaining space between the membranes can also be inflated to a greater or lesser degree. Floor boards are fixed inside the boat. The shape of the underwater part of the hull may therefore be modified to suit the type of propulsion envisaged and the sea conditions. The bottom would be inflated hard for outboard motor drive.
