Abstract

A simple mechanism for adjusting the angle of incline of a draughtsman's drawing board. A rigid structure results, reducing deflection. The drawing board (1) is mounted on two cross pieces (3, 5), spaced apart, which act as stiffeners. These are joined together by a spacer tube (7) through which passes a bar used as an adjusting pivot and which is attached to the support framework (11). On the bar and near to a cross piece is fixed a clamping device (13) which allows adjustment of the board and then holds it in the desired position. The other end of the bar carries a counter balance spring (15).
