Abstract

One pair of legs (1) is fixed to the piece of furniture while the other pair is mobile. The torsion bar (7) is fixed along the longitudinal axis of the furniture by a bracket (8) in the centre. It is welded to a plate (6) attached to the fixed pair of legs and at the other end it is fixed on a wedge (9) to which the mobile legs are fixed, so that it can oscillate around a mean position in which the four feet are at the same height. The legs are held in the correct position by a locking system.
