Abstract

1,112,968. Trestles. TUBECLAMPS Ltd. 7 Sept., 1966 [22 July, 1965], No. 31140/65. Heading E1S. A builder's trestle comprises a tubular frame 10, 11, 12 of rectangular form and a pair of feet 14 which are slidably and turnably mounted on the uprights 10 of the frame. Each foot 14 comprises a pair of diverging legs 16, 17 welded to a sleeve 15 and the sleeve is locked in adjusted position by a pin 20 passed through a hole 21 or a hole 23 in the sleeve and through holes 19 in the uprights 10. The holes 21, 23 in the sleeve are spaced ninety degrees apart so that the plane of the legs may be disposed at right angles or parallel to the plane of the frame 10, 11, 12. Parallel trestles may be connected together by bracing tubes secured to the ends of the lower cross members 12 by bolts engaging nuts permanently mounted in the ends of the lower cross members.
