Abstract

1,011,010. Spring frames. F. STAUBLE, G. STAUBLE, and R. STAUBLE, [trading as STAUBLE & CO.]. Dec. 12, 1963 [Dec. 16, 1962], No. 49052/62. Heading A4M. A spring bed frame comprises two parallel longerons 1, 2 interconnected by metal bars 3 non-twistably secured thereto, each metal bar 3 comprising an arcuate middle portion 3a and straight portions 3b all of which lie in the plane of the longerons 1, 2, and angled end portions 3c which extend at right angle thereto and are inserted into bores 14 provided in steps 4 of the longerons 1, 2. The terminal bar 5 may not have straight portion 3b. An adjustable head part may be formed at one end of the frame, comprising struts 7 pivoted on pins 6 and supported in inclined positions by a bar 8. The metal bars 3<SP>1</SP> spanning the struts 7 have their straight portions 3b omitted and angled end portions 3c positioned in rabbets or grooves. Also either two end angles 13 or a straight bar 13<SP>1</SP> may be used as terminal members.
