Abstract

An e.g vertical cylindrical dough mixer, with an impeller under driven by a 2-speed or vari-speed motor, has a piston scraper, to clean powder from walls after addition through a side inlet. The piston rests on mixture during dispersion at close to oil absorption point consistency, and dilution is carried out in same apparatus, by increasing impeller speed e.g. to 300 rpm from 150 rpm, and adding liquids through a bottom feed. A high degree of dispersion e.g. 7-8 on north gauge, is ensured, during mfr. of paint, ink etc.
