Abstract

Diamond, tungsten carbide, alumina or silicon carbide particles are pelletized with metal powder, e.g. bronze-Sn-Cu alloy, mixed with pelletized alloy, pressed and heated so that the alloy melts and forms a continuous matrix. The abrasive particles pref. have a hardness of >2000 kg/mm2.
