Textured fibrillated threads and yarns are produced by impressing in an extruded film lengthwise split lines, with deeper bundle-defining lines, at a temp. at which the film can deform, sepg. the film into bundles, hot drawing the bundles and splitting them into filaments and texturing the thread bundles so produced, all in a continuous process.
