Abstract

The system is partic. intended for high bulk yarns, bicomponent yarns, polyesters and polyamide and the like, in a vertical assembly. The yarn passes into a series of fixed channels where it travels with the treatment steam into a distributor where the yarn is fed in a spiral against the heated walls of the shrinking chamber, to be drawn upwards and out through a cooling assembly. The purpose is to provide a continuous process, without any heat shock on the yarn when entering the shrinking chamber.
