Abstract
In a texturising apparatus comprising a set of opposed surfaces, one of which has an engraved design defining a specific number of teeth uniformly distributed round the periphery and along its length while the other surface is fabricated in a material sufficiently elastic to be deformable and has a toothed profile matching that the first surface when the two surfaces are brought together into contact with simultaneous application of heat and pressure, has non-engraved shoulders on each side of the engraved toothed part of the first surface while the latter projects above the shoulders by at least a third of the tooth height so as to obtain a more uniform distribution of the pressure when the two surfaces are brought into contact.
