Abstract
A method of back-blowing inward-flow dust filtering elements, e.g. tubes or bags, to clean them, consists of introducing a compressed air pulse through a nozzle situated at the discharge mouth of the tube or bag. One nozzle serves several filter elements successively, being moved from one to another by a linear motor. The mouths are all located at equal distances from the guide rail on which the nozzle travels. With this arrangement, fewer nozzles are required; the nozzle is pref. a parallel ejector pump, in which compressed air draws in a flow of secondary air to form a combined jet.
