A separator for a Zn electrode accumulator preventing Zn denolite growth leading to short circuiting comprises a thin sheet of microporous polymer, esp. polyfluoroethylene, contg. finely divided metal from Ni, Ag, Fe and Co or high surface carbon particles of 1-200 mu size.
