Abstract

A Zn electrode esp. for a Ni/Zn accumulator comprises a Zn sheet sheathed in a fibrous material which swells when in contact with the electrolyte so that there is no free electrolyte between the active parts of the accumulator plates or of the battery resulting from the assembly of such an electrode and a counter-electrode.
