Abstract
An electrochemical element having at least one separation electrode for non-dendritic metal separation, partic. for deposition of Zn. is made of a conductive material while surrounded by a magnetic field pref. parallel to the largest dimensions of the electrode. Specif. the magnetic field is established outside the separation electrode which may be made of conductive ferromagnetic material of high electrical permeability. An active electrode may be a support column for the separation electrodes and may be made of Ni or Fe or a high Ni ratio Ni/Fe alloy.
