Abstract
Age-hardening is preceded by an oxidn. annealing at 700 =T=T solidus until an oxide disperse layer of desired thickness is obtd. in modification of Parent Patent, disclosing prepn. of age-hardening Cu-Fe-Ti alloys by subjecting malleable alloys to homogenising annealing in air, followed by quenching in water and cold-deformation followed by age-hardening, air or water-cooling. Products can be used as contact surface for transmission of electric current. Oxidn- and homegenisation annealing may be combined in one annealing process, which may be applied also to casting material, with suppression of deformation steps.
